Wilhelm Alms

Wilhelm Alms is Chairman of the Advisory Board and former Managing Director of the IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research in Hamburg.

In this position, he is committed to linking scientific research with business-relevant issues. Until 2003, the graduate in business administration was Chairman of the Management Board of Mummert Consulting. He had taken over the post in 1996.

Under his aegis, the Hamburg-based consulting firm developed into one of the largest management consultancies in Germany. In addition to his work at the IMWF, Wilhelm Alms works as an independent management consultant. He also contributes his experience to numerous projects – for example, as chairman of the Hamburg Consulting Forum, on the supervisory board of fördern und wohnen, and on the advisory boards of various service companies.
