Faktenkontor & Toluna: Social Media Atlas 2022

Do communicators really know their target group on the Internet? This is the holy grail of online communication. The Social Media Atlas 2022 by communications consultancy Faktenkontor and market researcher Toluna provides answers to questions such as who uses social media for what purposes, what information is sought on which channels, and what activities users pursue. In addition, it provides information on where users can expect expert opinions on specific topic worlds, products, current news or the Corona crisis. It also provides an overview of how social media usage has changed over the past twelve months, the level of trust in social media information, and how users engage with personalized content. It also provides an insight into the information behavior of Internet users for specific product groups and shows what influence social media has on purchasing decisions.

The study is based on an online representative panel survey of around 3,500 Internet users, which has been conducted annually since 2011.
